3 pounds down.

I lost three pounds! Yippee. I have been really beat lately, though. It's been a really busy start to the semester, especially after I was so lazy all break. My days are jam packed and trying to fit in practicing, working out, reading and working and being a mom is exhausting, not to mention my stupid insomnia that keeps me from getting the rest I need. Poor me! Ha.

I am not going to work out today. Well, at least I'm not going to do cardio. It's a strength training day so maybe I'll just do that and take the dogs for a leisurely walk.

I'm going to try to up my carb intake (I've been below my goal every day for god knows how long) so I have more energy.

Oh hey!

I just realized that I can open my food and exercise diary up to the public. So now you can all see how much I eat and of what! Very interesting stuff, I know. Try to contain yourselves.

I found it really hard to push myself while working out today. I think I might need a buddy. Anyone? Hello?

Success.

I'm on track! This is the longest amount of time in a long time that I've been so good for so long. So far today, by noon, I've had coffee with some whey protein in it and a naked juice. I'm not hungry, though I am feeling a little run down. I need to eat something.

I didn't want to run today. At all. But fortunately it snowed so I shoveled for twenty minutes and that equals 200 calories! I also did some strength training. I'm working on my upper body strength because I want to be able to do pull-ups again. I guess something ridiculous like 97% of women can't do a pull-up. I can at least do one. I want to do like ten though.

I can remember during my sophomore year of high school I schooled all the bitches in my gym class by doing five or six pull-ups. It feels good to be better than other people.

I'm awesome.

Thanks to myfitnesspal.com (which is far superior to my former fitness/food log website, fitday.com), I feel as though progress is being made. My calorie goal is something a little above 1500 a day (which I've been going over a bit, but have resolve to stick to it), and I usually burn at least 300 calories a day, plus strength train every other day.

I ran a 12 minute mile yesterday and today I ran an 11 minute mile. I've running about 30 minutes a day now and it's addictive. Yay! It's just hard to find a route that lasts that long in my neighborhood.

My upper torso is clearly skinnier.
