Thanks to myfitnesspal.com (which is far superior to my former fitness/food log website, fitday.com), I feel as though progress is being made. My calorie goal is something a little above 1500 a day (which I've been going over a bit, but have resolve to stick to it), and I usually burn at least 300 calories a day, plus strength train every other day.
I ran a 12 minute mile yesterday and today I ran an 11 minute mile. I've running about 30 minutes a day now and it's addictive. Yay! It's just hard to find a route that lasts that long in my neighborhood.
My upper torso is clearly skinnier.

Rock! I'm so proud! I ran a bunch of intervals around the track this morning (I don't know the distance), and I feel that happy/sweaty burn. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteDo you run outside? I'm impressed. I can't breathe in the cold air. Do you have a cold air trick? I bet my dogs would be pumped if I were tough enough to run outside in the winter, as they could come along.
ReplyDeleteMy dogs are happiest on the days I brave the cold! See my facebook profile for an insight into the amount of clothing I wear. It's kind of ridic. I don't have much of a problem breathing the cold air.
